12th May – Day 31
Today is better, I get up and try and analyse the previous night but cant. I head to Pymble for a services meeting with Richard, Frank, Mark, Robyn and Armand. Then its off to CBD to finish the week and enjoy Beer O’clock. I head home and hit the gym before meeting Pete and Phil for a chat, Chinese and a couple of beers.
Steff, (Pete’s sister) meet us at the restaurant and we have a wonderful meal at the Golden Century – a bit of a Sydney institution. Pete informs me with a smile that one of his gay friends has asked him if I was gay. Apparently he spotted me at Pete’s BBQ, on my own, and fancied me. Pete put him straight so hopefully if I bump into him their will be no dramas.
After the restraint Steff’s friend heads home, (to meet her 11:30 watershed…), and we head down to a pub/nightclub called Pontoon. Pete and Phil know everybody from bouncers to bar staff, I think that they are celebrities. I chat to Steff while the boys dance, mingle and ‘sign autographs.
We head home at about 1ish, Pete kindly dropping me off on the way, then its of to bed.
