11th September – 17th September – Days 153 to 159
Interesting week and very very busy – but hey that keeps my mind off being out here and all you people being over there.
Work highlights have included lots of client visits, entertaining and meetings oh and a cocktail party on Friday night to finish off the week – very nice but they couldn’t do me a “Heavenly Heavy”, or a “Gushing Guinness”, even though I explained that they were the National Cocktails of Scotland and Ireland……
Sociably I have acted as a tour guide/host to my Wee Bruva’s wife Deb’s who is over visiting her friend and enjoyed a BBQ with Dave & Sarah, Richard & Helen and Matt & Gin which was very pleasant. I caught the Buzzcocks who were Awesome as the Aussie say – mosh pit at the age of #&@? Who would have believed it – and I survived. Off to see Placebo on Thursday which should be quite a laugh in a gay sort of Brian Molko way – not sure what the Australian’s will make of him.
Otherwise it has been all work which also included Video Conferences with India…..Bit extreme considering all I wanted was a Chicken Korma…!
Wee Lewis hits the Big 13 on the 24th which makes me feel older than #&@?, and that’s old. We have brilliant chats on the phone about loads of stuff these days – as long as that doesn’t stop when he goes all Kevin on me!
In stating this Fran and I are ready for the hands in pockets, not getting up, leaning on everything vertical, attitude, hours in the bathroom, his first spot, his first big love and everything else that goes with teenagedom….wait a minute he does all those things already – worrying…..what’s to come!
Anyway hope that your not all working too hard, that the weather isn’t too bad, that your enjoying your BBQ’s and that Rangers win the Old Firm match next week.
Till then, L8ers
