13th May – Day 32 Saturday

After dragging myself out of bed I hit the shops to get some essentials – a case of beer for the FA Cup Final that night at Dave and Sarah’s. I planned to go to see Gareth but he’s working on his Painting and Decorating job so I go for a big walk round Sydney.
I phone home and have a good chat with everybody, then at about 4 I head over to Dave and Sarah’s for a fun packed evening. Lots of people arrive to experience the excitement being shown on projector. Dave and Sarah have re-arranged their house to create a kind of ‘Stand’ environment with armchairs, sofas and stools making up the terracing. Matt & Gin, Matt’s Sister & her Husband, (over from England), Ben & Emma, Richard & Helen and Billy no mates me, wish the family were here – they would love it. Dave cooks a brilliant BBQ and we all chat on the balcony overlooking the Harbour Bridge.
We have a scream and with the room divided equally between West ham and Liverpool there is a lot of good banter. Liverpool finally win on penalty’s and by now its about 3am Sunday morning.
I crash round Dave and Sarah’s – I should really be paying them rent – and fall asleep rather quickly.
