11th June – Day 61 – Sunday, ‘Australia 34 - England 3’

The beginning of a most wicked day which starts, at a very leisurely pace, round at Sarah and Dave’s house in Neutral Bay. I think that the previous nights excess’s are still with us but after a pint of S&D’s Special Brew, wonderful freshly brewed coffee and my first breakfast cook-up since arriving - we are now ready for the world.
We then head over to my unit where we prepare for another evening of excess, I pull on my Wallaby’s shirt and we set off to the train station for our free train ride to the Telstra Olympic Stadium, (the price of public transport is built in to the match ticket cost).
We meet the crew there, (Pete and his Brother in Law, Brendan and his wife, Richard and Helen and their friend Jo), and start drinking…….again! We hit the match and enjoy a wonderful performance by the World Champions, wonderful as in poor and they are seriously humbled by the Green and Gold’s. The match finishes and we…..drink more and enjoy some wicked banter with everybody. Then it’s the train back to Sydney….and off to a club for some more drinks – well you have to celebrate seeing England beaten twice, live, in four months, (Scotland on the 25th February and Australia tonight). Then I head home for some sleep which doesn’t take long to achieve – I’m asleep before I hit the pillow…!
