12th June – Day 62 – Bank Holiday

Very lazy day, wake up unreasonably early – probably due to the fact that my head is thumping, I cant breath out of my nostrils and my throat is raging…..Its the worst early morning present a man can get – a cross between a hang-over and a cold, deep joy. I have been cursed by the English…!
I become domestic, but very slowly and deliberately – wash, clean and dry, although too ill by far to do any ironing.
I have a very lazy day and decline Sarah and Dave’s kind offer to go and watch the Socceroos first World Cup Match – feel pretty rough, it must be Man Flu…..
I call the boys and Fran and catch them before they leave for school, probably put all of Fran’s precise early morning timing plans out and they will be late out of the door – must be done though – anyway good to talk to them and catch up with everything, miss them all loads.
Next I crawl under a blanket on the sofa and chill for the evening, The Socceroos win 3-1 against Japan and Sydney erupts as the final whistle goes – I can hear it as if I am with them but I’m actually on the 19 floor, everybody at work will be very happy.
