21st April - Day 10
Got six hours sleep, whey hey, and drive to Pymble. I am there as a back up for the Sodexho meeting – not needed. I decide to phone Gareth and try the new number that Karen has sent me from the UK, (the address and previous numbers given don’t work), Aled answers and gives me his Dad’s mobile number and I call – no answer, starting to believe that he has moved back to the UK. Anyway Gareth calls back and Robyn puts him through – wicked to hear and talk to him, he invites me up for a couple of cold ones, coke and the like! Next I head back to CBD. Where I help finish the FMA Award Applications and present Mark with a bottle of Moet to celebrate his and Debb’s new baby.
Shoot home, late, change, pack and head to Gareth and Donna’s at Mona Vale. Sat Nav again saves the day, I arrive and am welcomed wonderfully my Gareth and Danna…Aled and Alex…and Saxon and Dillon – they are six and I didn’t even know..! Also Ben and Tia are over form the UK, suffering from Jet Lag – of which I can appreciate. It is wicked to see them all, chat and drink and chat about everything – it’s like I only saw them last week. Show them Fran’s Blog.
Anyway we hit the pub, I drive as we plan to abandon the car for the night, the local RSL club, (Reserved Services Legion, like the British Legion I think), and get very drunk. ***WARNING - DON’T DRINK COOPERS…!***.
On walk home pass a “Council Clear Out”, this is where people clear out their old stuff and leave it on their drive. Its all good stuff and we collect some booty. We get back and Aled arrives home with his three mates, slightly drunk, who seriously entertain us.
Gareth and I have a smoke and we hit our respective bed’s at about two, that’s me, Gareth, Donna, Alex, Aled, Saxon, Dillon, Ben, Tia…..and Aled’s three friends – don’t know how we fitted everybody in.
