18th May – Day 37
Its up early today, at 5am to get a taxi to the Airport for a flight to Brisbane for the Bank of Queensland tender. Mark picks up Sarah late but they still arrive in time for us to enjoy the Qantas lounge.
As we check in late we cant get seats next to each other and I get stuck between two overfed individuals. We arrive and the first thing I notice is how tropically hot it is, Angus meets us and takes us to our Moorooka office which is huge.
We spend the morning planning the presentation and deliver it well that afternoon. I feel very positive regarding the outcome, even the fan breaking in the projector and it cutting out couldn’t put a dampener on things.
Mark and Sarah head home and I go off to my hotel, Brisbane Holiday Inn. I am upgraded and enjoy a very luxurious room before heading down to a lovely sea food dinner and then its off to explore the city. Its really laid back, clean and architectural its quite colonial.
I head back to the hotel and settle down to sleep at about 11 in a bed that has about 18 pillows, don’t know what that’s all about…!
