28th May – Day 47 – Sunday

A real sort everything out, wash & iron, tidy up and organise kind of day! I spent some time in the city, exploring where I haven’t been – which to be honest there aren’t many places left that I haven’t found -, to break up the day and managed to watch some footie, (that’s Rugby League and Aussie Rules, not Soccer…!) as well.
In the evening I hit the Gym and then phoned everybody for a catch up as I have been quite busy and got a bit behind with all that.
1) Geezer, (Davy Dunn) and Shazza, had a house full, poor soul. Had invited 452 small people and their respective parents round for a Bank Holiday BBQ expecting some to be away on hols – but no all accept and have arrived – it sounded like Playschool on Acid. It was good to have blether with him and catch up even if the conversation was punctuated with, ‘George, please give Daddy the gun etc’. It was good to hear Shazza sounding so well, hope that the BBQ goes well and that no one gets injured…like Geezer.
2) Bruv Chris and Debbie, Bruv was out ensuring that the streets were safe to walk and I have a good chat with Deb’s, (who tells me about my wife’s behaviour of the previous night when they commandeered St Ives) and Tommy who answered the phone.
3) Bruv Paul and Chris – not in and probably out enjoying the sunnnnsssshhhineee, will catch up with him soon.
4) Dusty and Lynn – Dusty was out making sure that the streets were fire free….well on second thoughts…it was Sunday, Bank Holiday and both Bruv Chris and Dusty working, has anybody checked the White Lion, Golden Hind, Nelsons Head etc etc. Anyway have a good chat with Lynn who tells me that my darling wife was out on the razzle the night before and drunk a copious amount of After Shock…dear dear – when the cats away and all that.
5) Fran and The Boys – Yes the girls been out as Gen and Terry are up for a few days. Boys are buzzing, half term week, the ponds been re-built by Terry, they caught 50 newts in the process. Love and miss them all.
I am then of to bed at 11 – another busy week ahead, four flights and an awards evening to look forward to.
