Interviews
Its not just me that’s changing my working environment, Fran’s been for some interviews; opportunist meeting led to the opportunity, and has secured a final meeting with the MD of the company. It’s an interesting part time role, which I will tell you all about if she is successful – so fingers crossed for Friday the 23rd of March.
Boys
The boys are loving school and everything else connected with the school, they have even got over the uniforms, see earlier pictures. They are sported out with the usual club activities, although Bush Cross Country, Beach Relay Races, Trap the Red Back Spider and Chase the Possum are new activities for them.
Ross has been involved in 4 selection games for the Harbord Harlequins, http://www.harbordharlequins.com/ and looks like he has secured the Scrum Half position in the second team, although was offered the full back position in the first team -but I told him that he would have to take a comb and hair gel onto the pitch to ensure that he always looked his best for the 60 minutes of the match he would stand around doing nothing, so he turned it down.
He was disappointed that he didn't make first team until he found out that the first team Scrum Half represents New South Wales. Additionally the head coach is some chap called Scott Gourley who was a Wallaby (seven caps at school boy level and a UK tourist) and then a St George Rugby League Star.
Lewis has been really active in the school debating society - not good as he is negotiating with us with more skill these days. He is also really enjoying Water Polo for which he trains weekly at 7am on a Tuesday morning, in an outdoor pool!
Friends
Sadly haven’t seen as much of Dave & Sarah, Richard & Helen or Gareth & Donna as we would have liked, but we have managed to settle the house down, put the pictures up, CD’s organised and computer connected.
Sarah, Fran, Helen and Lisa, (good UK friend who was visiting), went out for some serious drinks last Wednesday, of which their arrival home was hilarious, they fell up the stairs in unison, fell into th…..(sorry I would love to tell you more but I wouldn’t get into the house tonight).
Dave and I are going out for ‘four’ drinks on Thursday – whey hey.
Gareth and Donna have been round for the beach and a BBQ
And finally we meet Richard and Helen at North Curl Curl Beach most Saturdays and/or Sundays.
More soon……
