11th December – 18th February 2007 – Days 245 to 315
Yeah, okay so I am the world’s worst typist, will never make it as an author, was lucky to get an A Level in English and as my primary school teacher once told my parents, ‘I am easily distracted’.
Harsh but fair…….and this is Australia……and my family have arrived……..and we have enjoyed a New Year celebration in the best place possible, (well outside of just about any bar in Glasgow), and additionally we have experienced;
· Australia Day in 30 odd degrees
· BBQ’s on Christmas Day
· Rugby League matches
· Sunburn - ouch
· AI GP
· Super 14’s matches
· Cricket matches - sore point for you Barmy Army Boys, but what fun you had watching
· Entertained Barmy Army representatives from St Ives RUFC
· Watched 007 Casino Royale open-area, with the Opera House as a backdrop
· Welcomed old friends, (who didn’t want to leave)
· Moved into our new Northern Beaches home in Curl Curl
· Open Air Sydney Opera and Fireworks
· Changed jobs, more on that later
· Seaside trips after work/school
· Fran was filmed for an AmEx advert, (they thought that she was Aussie)
· Put the Biffa Bacon boys into Private School – shock horror
· Taken trips out to see wonderful sites
· Watching England win the ODI
· Surfing
· Watched Possums playing in the back garden….chased lizards out of the garage
· Trips to see old friends
· ………..
I’m bored of typing now, (see I’m easily distracted…), see pictures below for full details and to get a flavour of this wonderful place. Proper writing and communication will be resumed by Fran when she gets back on line when we receive our belongings which are still in Customs and Quarantine….
