10th July – 16th July – Day 90 to 96
Ok ok ok for all those who have been hassling me for being so behind on the Blogsite – totally deserved I admit but I have rather busy in the work department, that’s my excuse and I’m sticking to it.
This week as previously stated was spent all over Australia, three in Adelaide, yawn, shuts at 21:00 every night but I did eat the best steak that I have ever eaten in my life.
Spent the time with a colleague called Brendan who was a laugh, we put the world to rights, interviewed 15 potential suppliers, (for the big tender we were doing), shared the hotel with the Australian Rugby Union A Squad – big boys – and the Matilda’s, (the Aussie Ladies National Football Team), excellent planning that was. I mean how could Brendan and I concentrate on our responsibilities with all those athletes around the hotel…..more importantly how could the Wallaby ‘A’ Squad focus on the match with all those Matilda’s wandering around!
Anyway I spent Thursday in Sydney and Pymble before flying to Brisbane on Friday for one meeting, just those Qantas Frequent Flyer points…hummm! Nearly nailed the deal but the client has to one last justification report so fingers crossed.
Delayed back into Sydney on the Friday night and collapsed in the unit at about 21:00 – slept!
Weekend was all work I am sorry to admit, big Adelaide tender was being submitted on the 19th and we had to update all the information that we had collated in Adelaide. I didn’t drink, party or play atoll and in addition – just to make my day the biggest filling in my mouth fell out and left me in a bit of pain. Being of a medical background, (well my Mum was..!), I stuffed an aspirin into the gapping cavity and topped it off with Blu-Tac – since then I have swallowed about 3.5kg’s of Blu-Tac – but I should be fine as it claims to be only mildly toxic.
